President Anura Kumara Dissanayake received an enthusiastic welcome during a public rally held in Gampaha as part of the campaign for the upcoming provincial government elections.
Addressing the gathering, the President emphasized the government’s commitment to unlocking the potential of underutilized commercial land in Colombo for economic development.
“There is a large amount of valuable land in Colombo that has been lying idle for a long time. It is of no use for the government to simply hold on to this land,” he said. “We are prepared to offer these lands to investors in a fair and transparent manner.”
As he took the stage, the President introduced a special guest with heartfelt words: “We are about to welcome a truthful and beautiful person who never lies and always speaks the truth.”
The rally in Gampaha highlighted the administration’s focus on investment, transparency, and economic revitalization, drawing strong support from the local crowd.
