Ireland Tour of Zimbabwe (3rd ODI)
Ireland emerged victorious over Zimbabwe in a captivating Third ODI, claiming a 7-wicket win to secure the series. Their brilliance in the field and with the ball, led by Curtis Campher and Grahme Hume’s impressive 4-wicket hauls, tilted the game in Ireland’s favor.
Despite a rain delay, limiting the game to 40 overs, Campher and Hume maintained relentless pressure throughout, restricting Zimbabwe to 197 runs in the first half. This set Ireland a revised target of 201 to chase, courtesy of DLS.
After a shaky start losing Skipper Paul Stirling early, Andre Balbirnie anchored the innings with a brilliant 82 not out while Campher, Tector, and Tucker played aggressively at the other end.
Eventually, Ireland comfortably chased down the target with two overs to spare, not only winning the game but also clinching the series 2-0.
