(COLOMBO) – A Sri Lankan KFC outlet has apologized to its customers after it had sold rotten chicken meat in a food basket earlier this week.
In a statement, the international fast food chain said that it expresses regret for any inconvenience caused adding that customer feedback is treated seriously and has initiated a thorough investigation into the issue.
Emphasizing their commitment to maintaining the highest standards in both product and service quality, KFC outlined the stringent measures in place to ensure food quality.
“This includes sourcing the finest ingredients and implementing rigorous preparation processes,” the statement said.
Furthermore, the management expressed gratitude for the trust and loyalty of their customers and highlighted their dedication to giving back to the community.
They reassured the public of their ongoing commitment to contributing positively to the areas they serve.
The parent body of KFC Sri Lanka is owned by Cargills, a leading food and supermarket chain in the country.
