Dhanushka Gunathilaka who was implicated in a rape case involving a woman in Sydney Australia will be able to play for his Sinhalese Sports Club at the Major League limited overs tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket.
He will be able to make a comeback after the Executive Committee of SSC decided on Friday to lift the suspension imposed on him.
Sri Lanka Cricket who also suspended Gunathilaka lifted the playing restriction imposed of the left hand batsman six months ago after a court in Sydney found him not guilty of raping the unnamed woman he befriended on a dating website during Sri Lanka’s disastrous participation at the T20 World Cup in November 2022.
