The ICC has smashed price barriers with the most affordable World Cup tickets in history, inviting millions of fans to experience world-class cricket live in stadiums across India and Sri Lanka.
The International Cricket Council has officially opened ticket sales for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, unveiling a historic move to make the tournament accessible to fans of every background. Phase I of ticket sales begins at 18h45 IST, with entry-level prices set at ₹100 in India and LKR1000 in Sri Lanka, a decision aimed at drawing unprecedented numbers into stadiums for the biggest T20 event ever staged.
This landmark 10th edition of the tournament will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka across eight iconic venues from 7 February to 8 March. Fans can expect a thrilling start with Pakistan facing the Netherlands in Colombo, followed by West Indies meeting Bangladesh in Kolkata, and India taking on the USA in Mumbai. With more than two million tickets available in the first phase, affordability has become the centrepiece of the ICC’s strategy to democratize the World Cup experience.
ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta said, “Phase I of ticket sales is an important milestone in our journey towards delivering the most accessible and global ICC event ever staged. Our vision for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is clear: every fan, regardless of background, geography or financial means, should have the chance to access an in-stadia experience of world-class marquee cricket. With tickets starting from just ₹100 and LKR1000, we are putting affordability at the centre of our strategy.” He added that the 2026 edition, featuring 20 teams and 55 matches, will set a new benchmark for competitive excellence and global fan engagement.

The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, R. Premadasa Stadium and Singhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo, and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy will host 55 high-stakes matches as the world’s top 20 teams battle for glory.
