(COLOMBO) – A Sri Lankan army deserter turned rugby coach was arrested along two grams of heroin and several narcotic pills at a location in the central hill capital of Kandy on Wednesday, police said.
The 22-year-old suspect was described as an external coach of a leading boy’s college in Kandy.
The suspect had been enlisted as a rugby coach by the school some six months ago, police have found out.
Investigators are trying to find out if the narco pills were related to performance enhancing drugs used by errant sportspersons.
