Sri Lanka Cricket is reportedly preparing to appoint Vikram Rathore as the batting coach of the Sri Lanka national team ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup. Rathore, who served as India’s batting coach until 2024, is currently the assistant coach of Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.
He is expected to join the Sri Lanka squad on January 15 and begin work immediately. According to sources, Rathore will play a key role during the upcoming England series, focusing on improving batting technique, consistency, and match awareness.
The appointment is seen as a strategic move by Sri Lanka Cricket to strengthen batting preparation and build momentum as the team looks to peak at the T20 World Cup.
