(COLOMBO) – Two Sri Lankan males had sold a kidney each in order to upkeep their habit on narcotics, it was revealed on Friday.
The two suspects were arrested in the pre-dominant eastern town of Kattandudi some 328 kilometers from the commercial capital of Colombo.
The pair was initially busted for being in the possession of two grams of ‘ice’ a highly addictive synthetic drug.
Investigators were later horrified when the suspects told them that they had traded a kidney in order to purchase the narcotic.
