Bangladesh Under-19 clinched a well-deserved victory against a resilient USA Under-19 side, winning by 121 runs. Ariful Islam’s century helped Bangladesh to a challenging total in the first innings, before Mahfuzur Rahman swept the Americans off their feet.
Ariful Islam crafted a wonderful 103 alongside his teammates to take Bangladesh to a competitive total of 291 runs for 7 wickets in the first innings. Bangladesh then bundled out the Americans for a low score of 170, taking their time to ensure victory by gently keeping the opposition below the required run rate. Mahfuzur Rahman spearheaded the win with his four wickets haul for Bangladesh in the second innings.
