Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has taken an innovative step towards enhancing its coaching capabilities by inviting the esteemed Pakistani cricket legend Wasim Akram to conduct a two-day training program. Arriving in Sri Lanka this morning, Akram will deliver five sessions that aim to benefit national players, SLC High Performance Coaches, and coaches from major clubs across the country. His expertise will also extend to observing the national team’s preparations for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Wasim Akram, renowned for his formidable career as a fast bowler, brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished track record. Known for his lethal swing bowling and strategic acumen, Akram’s credentials include being one of the most successful bowlers in cricket history, with over 500 Test wickets and nearly as many in One Day Internationals.
