(COLOMBO) – At least two people died and some 67,865 people from 17,325 families across thirteen districts in Sri Lanka have been affected as turbulent weather conditions continued to rock the island nation, a senior official with the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), said.
In addition to that a total of 410 houses have also been partially damaged, DMC Spokesman Pradeep Kodippili said.

The navy and fish workers have also been told to refrain from going out to sea until further notice owing to the inclement weather that has created choppy sea conditions.
