(COLOMBO) – A lawyer has been arrested after he is alleged to have attempted to sexually molest a female officer assistant at a court in north-western Sri Lanka, police said on Friday.
They said the suspect lawyer is alleged to have forcibly thrust himself on the victim and expressed his desires and love for her inside the Registrar’s Office at a court complex in the tourist hot spot town of Negombo some 38 kilometres from the commercial capital of Colombo.
The lawyer was arrested after the woman complained to the local police. The suspect was due to be produced before a local Magistrate on Friday, police said. (COPY ENDS)
