Showering praise on his retirement, former Sri Lanka Rugby President Rizly Illyas, one of the invitees to the ceremony said “Our journey together dates back to our days as rugby players from different teams Petersons Sports Club and the Police. Despite the fierce competition on the field, playing against Niranjan, along with Marso, Palitha, Norman, and Jamaldeen, was always a highlight. The camaraderie extended beyond the field, with the best social gatherings where bonds were forged and memories created.”
