Chasing 149 for victory, Dambulla lost early wickets but rallied around Hendricks’ resilient fifty. Needing 8 runs off the final over, Hendricks and Nabi looked set to secure a win, only for Theekshana to turn the tide with crucial breakthroughs.
A dramatic run-out on the last ball forced a Super Over, where Theekshana starred again, restricting Dambulla to just 6 runs and taking both wickets. In response, Hales and Arachchige swiftly chased down the target in four balls against Thushara, with Hales sealing victory with a boundary and a six.
