Colombo, July 23, 2024 — The National Election Commission is set to convene on Thursday, February 25, to discuss and determine the date for the upcoming Presidential Election.
The primary agenda of the meeting will be to finalize the date for the 2024 Presidential Election. Following this discussion, the Commission will announce the official election date.
A spokesperson for the Election Commission has confirmed that the Gazette notification announcing the Presidential Poll is expected to be published before the end of this weekend. This move will officially set the stage for the election process.
