Could “The Simpsons” start sharing some lottery numbers next?
TV’s longest-running series is once again being hailed as a modern-day Nostradamus. In the 2000 episode titled “Bart to the Future,” Lisa Simpson is depicted as the first female president of the United States, dressed in an outfit remarkably similar to the one worn by Vice President Kamala Harris at the 2021 inauguration.
Al Jean, one of the show’s prominent writers, took to social media to acknowledge the coincidence, writing, “@TheSimpsons ‘prediction’ I’m proud to be a part of,” on X.
This isn’t the first time “The Simpsons” has seemingly predicted the future. In that same episode, Lisa becomes president following a “President Trump,” 16 years before his actual election. While the show did feature an image of Trump on an escalator and an electoral map that turned out to be inaccurate, its other predictions have intrigued fans for years.
