State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe has responded to a warning from the party’s General Secretary, Sagara Kariyawasam, about potential disciplinary actions against members who oppose the politburo’s decisions. Semasinghe has asserted that he and his supporters are not bound by the July 29 resolution and are prepared to challenge any punitive measures the party may impose, emphasizing the importance of making the right decisions in the current national context.
