The All Ceylon Free Grama Seva Officers Association has raised alarms over the difficulties in preparing polling stations for the upcoming elections. According to the association’s General Secretary, M. K. G. Jagath Chandralal, the process of setting up polling stations is facing significant challenges due to increased costs and staffing issues.
Chandralal noted that the daily allowance for employees has surged threefold compared to previous elections, exacerbating the problem. The association is struggling to provide the necessary personnel and facilities, further complicating the preparations for the election.
