Wasantha Samarasinghe, a Member of Parliament for the National People’s Power (NPP) from Anuradhapura District, has declared his party’s determination to create a Sri Lanka unlike any other nation in the world. Speaking after the NPP’s significant electoral victory, Samarasinghe shared his vision for a government rooted in transparency, fairness, and the welfare of its citizens.
He stated, “As you were told to give, it has been given in a way that is not even in the world. That’s why we say that we will build this country like no other in the world by keeping those hopes. We are working to build a country so that we can live happily.”
Samarasinghe highlighted the party’s intent to enact legal reforms aimed at addressing corruption, ensuring accountability, and introducing a new political culture. He also emphasized the importance of economic justice and equitable governance, promising policies that prioritize public interest over individual or political gain.
The NPP aims to establish a government that will not only address systemic issues but also set a global example of progress and innovation. Samarasinghe called for public support to achieve these transformative goals, urging citizens to place their trust in the NPP’s ability to deliver.
