The Sri Lanka T-10 Super League Cricket Tournament begins today at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, bringing together six competitive teams and some of the most prominent names in international and domestic cricket. The tournament promises exciting, fast-paced matches, each limited to 10 overs per innings.
The event kicks off with an opening ceremony scheduled for 2:45 PM. The first match will follow at 4:00 PM, featuring Jaffna against Hambantota. At 6:00 PM, Nuwara Eliya will face Colombo, and the final match of the day will see Kandy take on Galle at 8:30 PM.
Over the course of the tournament, 25 matches will be played, including 21 games in the preliminary round. The top four teams will advance to the next stage, with the first and second-placed teams competing in Qualifier 1. The winner of this match will secure a direct spot in the final. The third and fourth-placed teams will compete in the Eliminator, and the winner of this match will face the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 to fight for the remaining spot in the final, which is scheduled for December 19.
The tournament features an impressive line-up of international cricket stars such as Shakib Al Hasan, Asif Ali, Andre Fletcher, Kyle Meyers, Soumya Sarkar, Johnson Charles, and Imad Wasim.
