National People’s Power (NPP) MP Kaushalya Ariyaratne stated that the current government inherited a nation in crisis, taking over at a time when the government did not even have a grain of rice.
Speaking to the media after participating in the Clean Sri Lanka program, Ariyaratne emphasized that the administration is still working to correct the mistakes of previous governments. She acknowledged the economic difficulties faced by the people but assured that the upcoming budget will provide significant relief to ease their burdens.
Her remarks highlight the challenges the government claims to have inherited and the efforts being made to stabilize the economy while addressing public grievances.
