Samagi Jana Balawegaya Parliamentarian Chitral Fernando has questioned the fate of the 107 government luxury vehicles that were reportedly showcased at the Galle Face exhibition during the change of government.
Addressing Parliament, Fernando pointed out that despite initial claims that these vehicles would be auctioned, only 18 have been put up for sale. He reminded that Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe had previously disclosed a list of 107 vehicles that were stockpiled at Galle Face, raising concerns over what happened to the remaining fleet.
Demanding transparency, Fernando urged the government to clarify the whereabouts of the missing vehicles and provide a full account of their status.
