‘Doc Talk’ has been unveiled as Sri Lanka’s first dedicated online health and wellness platform, offering expert-driven medical insights, preventative care, nutrition tips, and mental health guidance to fight misinformation and inspire healthier lifestyles.
Sri Lanka has entered a new era in digital healthcare with the launch of ‘Doc Talk – Experts Insights for Wellness,’ the country’s first online platform dedicated to health and wellness education. The initiative, which debuted on YouTube, aims to transform the way Sri Lankans access reliable health information, bridging the gap between expert knowledge and the public.
The launch also marked the establishment of Doc Talk (Pvt) Ltd., underscoring the platform’s long-term commitment to community wellbeing. The official event was graced by leading figures in Sri Lanka’s medical field, including Dr. Surantha Perera, Medical Director of the Medical Association, alongside several distinguished healthcare professionals. Their participation reinforced the credibility of Doc Talk as a trusted source for health education.
Doc Talk was created with a vision to make medical insights accessible, engaging, and easy to understand. The platform offers a wide spectrum of health-related content, including preventative care, nutrition, mental health awareness, and updates on emerging medical trends. It also features expert interviews, real-life wellness stories, and special programs endorsed by leading voices in healthcare.
Nadeesha Perera, Founder and Managing Director of Doc Talk (Pvt) Ltd., emphasized the importance of countering health misinformation. “Our mission is to make accurate, expert-driven health information freely available to everyone. We live in a time where misinformation can spread faster than facts, and in matters of health, that can be dangerous. Doc Talk is about giving people access to credible, easy-to-understand advice directly from experts, empowering them to make informed decisions for their wellbeing and that of their loved ones,” she said.
The platform intends to go beyond just medical advice, inspiring healthier lifestyles and making expert guidance relevant to everyday life. By breaking the perception that medical knowledge is only for professionals, Doc Talk positions itself as a valuable digital hub for individuals, families, policymakers, and the Sri Lankan diaspora.
With its foundation built on expertise, integrity, and community focus, Doc Talk is poised to become Sri Lanka’s leading online destination for health and wellness information, making expert medical knowledge both relatable and impactful for all.
