Beliatta Facebook arrest sees a 21-year-old detained over groups allegedly sharing obscene content involving women and minors.
A 21-year-old youth from Beliatta has been arrested by the Bureau for the Prevention of Abuse of Children and Women for allegedly operating network channels, groups, and pages on Facebook dedicated to circulating obscene images and explicit content featuring minors and women.
The operation unfolded on the morning of August 27, 2026, when a specialized police team led by the unit’s Officer-in-Charge (OIC) conducted a sudden raid on the suspect’s residence in the Beliatta area. Law enforcement officials acted on intelligence gathered through digital surveillance, linking the online networks back to the young man’s physical location.
During the arrest, police seized the suspect’s mobile phone, which is believed to contain primary evidence, administrator access logs, and digital archives of the illicit material. Cyber-forensics teams are now inspecting the device to determine the scale of the operation, track down potential co-administrators, and trace where the original media files were sourced and distributed.
The Bureau for the Prevention of Abuse of Children and Women has launched a comprehensive investigation to uncover the broader network behind these pages, examine potential monetization of the content, and identify any victimized individuals. The suspect remains in police custody as legal proceedings and forensic analyses continue.
