A delegation from the National Congress, led by Digamadulla District MP A. L. M. Athaullah, met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe today to pledge their support for him in the upcoming presidential election.
In addition, Sugath Hewapathirana, leader of the Deshapremi Jana Balawegaya, also met with President Wickremesinghe and offered his party’s backing.
These endorsements are significant as President Wickremesinghe prepares for the September 21 election.
