(COLOMBO) – Six person including five Chinese nationals were arrested for allegedly operating a questionable loan agency at Dehiwala in the outskirts of the commercial capital of Colombo, police said on Tuesday.
They were picked on information by sleuths from the Cyber Crimes Investigation Division of Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
Some eight desktop computers, thirteen laptops, and 41 mobile phones were also seized from the suspect pending that will be needed for further investigations, police said.
Meanwhile, the Police have cautioned the public to report any such related activity to the nearest police station or the Cyber Crimes Investigation Division of the CID.
