Opposition Chief Organizer Lakshman Kiriella expressed his readiness to support President-elect Anura Kumara Dissanayake, stating that despite the criticisms leveled by Dissanayake against other political parties, he now anticipates closely observing the new President’s actions.
Kiriella emphasized that he respects the will of the people, regardless of who is elected, and urged for a peaceful post-election atmosphere without violence. He further assured that he would fully support any measures taken by President Dissanayake to alleviate the hardships faced by the people.
