He remarked that when monks appear on the National People’s Power stage, they are true followers of the Buddha’s teachings, but on other platforms, they merely bear the robes without embodying the essence of monkhood.

He advocated for a leader who listens to the public and ensures the free expression of opinions by citizens, a right he believes must be upheld for a strong and united nation.

In his view, Sajith Premadasa is the most suitable candidate for such a role, praising his commitment to listening to the people and addressing their needs.
