Tharushi Karunarathna, a Sri Lankan athlete, secured a gold medal in the Women’s 800 meters event at the Taiwan Athletics Open 2024 on Sunday (02), finishing first in the final with a time of 2.05.74 minutes. She also triumphed in the Women’s 400m event on Saturday (01), clocking 52.48 seconds for another gold. The Taiwan Athletics Open 2024, now part of the World Athletics Continental Tour, is taking place at Taipei Stadium, Taiwan.
