Mr. Nalin Hevage, a national executive member of the National People’s Force, expressed strong confidence in the upcoming general election, asserting that the current Parliament, which he characterized as “full of corrupt people,” will soon be transformed into “a lake of fragrant flowers.” He made these remarks during a recent press conference.
Hevage criticized other political parties, stating, “Many flag bearers of other political parties are not asking for elections this time because they cannot go to the village to beg. Those who ask will definitely have to go home with mats and pillows.” His comments reflect a sentiment of disillusionment with the existing political landscape.
The National People’s Force aims to rejuvenate the political environment in Sri Lanka, with Hevage asserting that the people are ready to “transform this corrupt parliament into a very clean flower lake.” He emphasized that citizens can look forward to a “wonderful parliament” post-election.
Hevage further urged the public to remain hopeful, announcing that significant decisions have already been made to alleviate the burden of living for citizens. “As soon as this election is over, we have taken some big decisions to reduce the burden of life by a significant amount, and we are implementing them,” he stated, reinforcing his commitment to improving the lives of the populace.
