Former State Minister Diana Gamage expressed her strong support for President Anura Dissanayake, claiming that he possesses a “magic ball” that is even more powerful than that of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa. During a recent press conference in Colombo, Gamage conveyed her admiration for Dissanayake, stating, “I like Mr. Anura Dissanayake, who came to catch thieves.”
Gamage acknowledged the challenges faced by Dissanayake in fulfilling the aspirations of the people, emphasizing that it is no easy task to gain public approval without resorting to divisive rhetoric. “It’s not like Mike came to power by talking about splits; it is a very difficult task to fulfill the aspirations of the people in a way that pleases their hearts,” she remarked.
She extended her congratulations to President Dissanayake, expressing hope that he would lead the country in the right direction. Additionally, Gamage shared positive sentiments regarding Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, sending her best wishes as well.
