D.J.A.S.S. Rajakaruna, the Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Cepetco), has strongly refuted recent reports that claim he doubled his salary. In a formal press release issued today, Rajakaruna stated that these allegations are entirely false and have no basis in fact.
The reports, which have been circulating in the media, suggested that the Cepetco chairman had received a significant pay increase, sparking controversy and public concern. Rajakaruna, in his statement, emphasized that these claims were fabricated and misrepresented.
In response to the allegations, Rajakaruna revealed that he would be taking immediate legal action against those responsible for spreading such misinformation. He further stated that a complaint would be submitted to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), urging the authorities to launch an investigation into the matter and hold those responsible accountable.
