Former World Cup winning captain and Firebrand advocate for a clean up of corruption in cricket, Arjuna Ranatunga came out all guns blazing threatening to reveal the names of Ministers on the payroll of Shammi Silva, the cornered cricket head.
Ranatunga making his threat at a Press conference said that Parliament stood in the way of compiling a forensic audit report dating back five years.
“If the forensic audit report is allowed to be compiled and put out, the names of Ministers on Shammi Silva’s payroll will be on it from 2018,” said Ranatunga.
“I am saying this with responsibility, Parliament is not granting permission to compile the audit report for fear of exposure of Ministers and Members of Parliament,” said Ranatunga.
“I will make sure this time nobody stands in the way. To stop it they may try to have Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe removed and replaced with one of their stooges”, Ranatunga added.
