The Royal College Old Boys Association of North America got off to a quick start in its traditional big match encounter against the Thomian Alumni of California, when its openers Peshaan Wedanarachchi and Manjula Samarage Don put on a brisk 94 run opening stand for the first wicket in 12.3 overs at the Woodley Park cricket grounds.
The Thomians however managed to stop the Royal run feast when its opening bowler Daniel Suppiah grabbed two wickets to have Royal at 95 for 3.
Royalist opener Manjula Don who has been a consistent scorer for Royal over the years in this series was dismissed for 56 (2 sixes and 4 fours) when he was well set for another big score.
Royal ended their innings at 182 for 9 off their allotted 30 overs.
