Former Sri Lanka fast bowler Shehan Madushanka has been arrested once more, this time by Pannala Police, for possession of illegal drugs.
According to police reports, the arrest was made following a tip-off that drugs were being stored at his residence. Upon searching the property, officers discovered a quantity of narcotics.
Madushanka, who had previously faced arrest for transporting drugs in a vehicle, was produced in court and has been remanded until June 1st for further questioning. Authorities have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
This marks another troubling chapter for the former national cricketer, who once made headlines for taking a hat-trick on his ODI debut but has since struggled with legal issues off the field.
