Former Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe will officially launch his non governmental corruption clean up campaign on Tuesday following the inauguration of his new political party called Stop Corruption Build Motherland Alliance last month.
“I am inviting all who are against corruption to join us. There are two sides, one side that supports corruption which is black and the other side that does not support corruption which is white. I know the people are with us and we are ready,” Ministet Ranasinghe declared at a Press conference.
Speaking on the International Cricket Council (ICC) lifting the ban on Sri Lanka, Ranasinghe said the final episode in the manipulated stage show has been brought to an end.
“The ICC imposed the ban and now they are bringing the curtain down”, said Ranasinghe.
He once again threw a challenge to his successor Harin Fernando to stop playing games behind closed doors and join in the fight against corruption at Sri Lanka Cricket.
“The (sports) Minister (Harin Fernando) wore black and protested against rogues and corruption in the country during the public uprising (to oust Gotabaya Rajapakse). He should now go by the Auditor General’s Report and act to oust corrupt elements at Sri Lanka Cricket”, said Ranasinghe.
