COVID-19 origin claims intensify after Tulsi Gabbard declassifies intelligence files linking Fauci, Wuhan research and alleged cover-ups.
COVID-19 origin questions have returned to the centre of global attention after controversial intelligence records were declassified by outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on her final day in office.
The newly released material has triggered fresh scrutiny over alleged links between US government-backed virus research, former President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci, and the long-disputed Wuhan laboratory leak theory.
Wuhan Lab Research And Taxpayer Money
According to the latest communications and intelligence documents released by Gabbard, Anthony Fauci allegedly directed millions of dollars in American taxpayer funds to China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology.
The documents claim that the funding was used for “gain-of-function” research, a field of study aimed at increasing the function and potential lethality of coronaviruses carried by bats.
The intelligence reports further state that an accidental leak from the Wuhan laboratory was the direct cause of the pandemic that shook the world and claimed millions of lives.
Was Intelligence Information Hidden?
The declassified records have also raised serious questions about sworn testimony Fauci gave before a US congressional subcommittee in 2024.
At the time, Fauci stated that he had no communication with intelligence agencies regarding virus research. However, the newly released documents suggest a reality that directly contradicts that claim.
Scientific Interference – The records allege that scientists funded by health agencies secretly influenced assessments prepared by intelligence agencies.
Truth Suppressed – Those altered assessments were then allegedly used by senior government officials to hide from the public the view that the virus had leaked from the Wuhan laboratory.
Whistleblower Retaliation – Intelligence officers who tried to present evidence and information supporting the laboratory leak theory reportedly faced serious professional consequences.
Biden’s Preemptive Pardon And Legal Protection
Congressional investigators have now turned their attention to these revelations, but Anthony Fauci remains legally protected.
That protection came in January 2025, when former President Joe Biden, during the final hours of his presidency, granted Fauci a “preemptive presidential pardon.”
Biden said at the time that the pardon was issued under exceptional circumstances and did not mean Fauci had committed wrongdoing.
However, the pardon has made federal prosecution against Fauci impossible over his pandemic-related actions or any alleged misleading testimony before Congress.
Through Tulsi Gabbard’s final act in office, new momentum has been given to claims that suspicions surrounding the true origin of COVID-19, and the direct involvement of US health authorities, were based on fact.
While the path to legal action against Anthony Fauci has been blocked, at least for now, the political and moral damage facing the US government and its health institutions may not disappear quickly.
The revelations show that the fight to uncover the true origins of the pandemic remains unfinished, even years after COVID-19 changed the world.
