The incident occurred at the “Kum Udawa” grounds in Dambulla. According to official police reports, the female officer was seated while handling security when the suspect approached her in a heavily intoxicated state.
Police allege that he forcibly sat on her lap, subjecting her to sexual harassment. Dambulla Police later confirmed that both the suspect and the female officer serve at the Makulugaswewa Police Station.
