The Jaffna Kings produced a commanding all-round performance to defeat the Kandy Royals by 93 runs in Match 13 of the 2026 Lanka Premier League at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.
Avishka Fernando and Kamil Mishara laid the foundation with a dominant 129-run opening partnership as Jaffna reached 199 for four after choosing to bat first.
Jaffna’s bowlers then dismantled the Kandy batting order, dismissing the Royals for only 106 in 18.2 overs. Lahiru Udara scored a fighting half-century, but received little support as Kandy suffered one of the heaviest defeats of the tournament.
