A severe head-on collision between two passenger buses occurred in the Gandara Talalla area on the Matara-Tangalle main road earlier today. The accident involved buses traveling from Embilipitiya to Matara and from Matara to Tangalle.
Reports indicate that over 35 people sustained injuries in the crash. Of the injured, 29 individuals were rushed to Gandara Hospital for immediate treatment, while six others were admitted to Matara Hospital.
