The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has temporarily suspended the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), marking the third ban in eight years.
The suspension stems from Pakistan’s failure to amend its football constitution to align with international football standards. Since June 2019, the Pakistan Football Federation has been governed by a FIFA-appointed normalization committee tasked with implementing necessary reforms. However, the PFF has failed to comply with FIFA’s recommendations, leading to the latest suspension.
FIFA has confirmed that the ban will remain in place until the Pakistan Football Federation fully implements the required changes. The decision further isolates Pakistan from the global football scene, preventing its national teams and clubs from participating in international tournaments.
