Deputy Minister Nalin Hewage has strongly denied claims made by Namal Rajapaksa regarding his alleged statements about the Vitz car, dismissing them as completely false.
Speaking during the second budget debate in Parliament, Hewage insisted that he never made any remarks about the vehicle and accused Rajapaksa of spreading misinformation.
“This is a complete lie. I did not say anything about the Vitz car,” Hewage stated, rejecting Rajapaksa’s claims outright.
He also took the opportunity to reaffirm his confidence in the National People’s Power (NPP) government, asserting that it will remain in power for at least another twenty-five years, despite any political opposition.
Hewage’s remarks come amid growing political debates and budget discussions, highlighting the tensions between government and opposition members in Parliament.
