Dr. Peter Brewer, Senior Mission Chief of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has expressed optimism about Sri Lanka’s economic future, stating that the country is on a positive trajectory.
Speaking at a press conference on March 4, following the completion of the third review of Sri Lanka’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF), Brewer assured that Sri Lanka’s future will be bright.
He further noted that in the coming years, Sri Lankans will no longer feel the need to leave the country, and those who migrated during the recent economic crisis are expected to return in the near future.
Brewer’s remarks signal growing confidence in Sri Lanka’s economic recovery, following IMF-backed reforms aimed at stabilizing the nation’s financial situation.
