PayPal Sri Lanka services are set to launch on May 15, allowing users to receive overseas funds directly into local bank accounts.
PayPal Sri Lanka services are set to officially begin on May 15, marking a major step forward for overseas money transfers into the country.
PayPal, one of the world’s leading money transfer companies, has now made arrangements to launch its services in Sri Lanka. Discussions on introducing the service began as far back as 2014, while a new act connected to the process was implemented in 2017.
The launch has now reached its final stage.
Although Sri Lankans have been able to make payments abroad through PayPal for many years, they have not had the ability to receive funds sent from foreign countries directly into local bank accounts.
With this development, receiving money from overseas to Sri Lanka is expected to become much easier.
