Sri Lanka services exports dropped 6.13% in April 2026, even as ICT/BPM and financial services recorded strong growth.
Sri Lanka services exports fell by 6.13 percent in April 2026 to US$ 317.16 million compared with the same month last year, the Export Development Board said.
The decline came despite strong growth in key sectors.
ICT/BPM export earnings rose by 24.89 percent to US$ 146.09 million in April 2026 compared with April 2025.
Construction earnings dropped sharply by 49.93 percent to US$ 8.26 million year-on-year.
Transport and logistics also fell by 23.68 percent to US$ 152.36 million.
However, financial services recorded major growth, rising 119.41 percent to US$ 10.45 million.
Total exports of goods and services for April 2026 reached US$ 1,380.93 billion, up 6 percent.
