The Cabinet of Ministers has approved on 16-10-2018 to introduce legal provisions to promote breastfeeding through an Act with the aim of protecting children from the unethical and harmful effects of the milk powder industry on children for commercial purposes, protecting breastfeeding as a key intervention that has been scientifically proven, and ensuring that the country continues to be recognized as a global leader in breastfeeding.
