Deputy Minister of Industries Chathuranga Abeysinghe has declared that the National People’s Power (NPP) government has already completed work that will benefit the next ten generations of Sri Lankans.
Speaking at a local government election rally, Abeysinghe emphasized the irreversible nature of the current administration’s achievements, stating, “This government cannot be overthrown merely to serve selfish agendas or personal survival.”
He asserted that the NPP-led administration has fulfilled its responsibilities to the fullest extent possible and left no room for valid criticism from the opposition.
“We have completed the maximum work any government could deliver within this period. The opposition has no grounds for accusations,” he said.
Abeysinghe’s remarks come as the NPP government continues to defend its performance and navigate mounting political scrutiny ahead of the upcoming elections.
