One of Sri Lanka’s leading cricket entities, Colts Cricket Club that boasts of an illustriois history of 150 years, has struck a deal with corporate heavyweight Lanka IOC to propel its cricketers into the future.
The partnership between Colts and the Indian Oil Company was signed and sealed at a ceremony held at the clubhouse on Thursday with legendary Sri Lanka batsman Angelo Matthews also gracing the occasion.
The Club branded the deal as: “A Powerful Alliance to Fuel the Next Generation of Sri Lankan Cricketing Talent”.
Adding fuel to its flame the Club in a Media statement said they were in the forefront of developing national-level talent and boasting of a remarkable legacy of producing some of the country’s finest cricketers, including current icons Angelo Mathews, Dunith Wellalage, Dilshan Madushanka, Akila Dananjaya, and Dhananjaya Lakshan alongside legends Chaminda Vaas, Romesh Kaluwitharana and Roy Dias.

Lanka IOC Managing Director Dipak Das along with the Colts President Nishantha Ranatunga signed the alliance on behalf of their respective organisations at the ceremony.
