PayPal Sri Lanka services begin with Bank of Ceylon, Commercial Bank and Sampath Bank enabling foreign currency inflows.
PayPal Sri Lanka services are now available, giving the country a new opportunity to bring foreign currency through the world-famous digital payment network.
The facility will be granted with immediate effect to local financial institutions that have already reached mutual agreements with PayPal to implement the relevant services.
According to Singapore-registered PayPal Pte, which is carrying out these operations in Sri Lanka, three major local banks are already acting as official partners.
Accordingly, customers will be able to transact through this payment system using Bank of Ceylon, Commercial Bank, and Sampath Bank.
Under the memorandum of understanding signed between the relevant parties, the facility to receive money through these banking systems will be provided following the official announcement.
