Reports have surfaced suggesting that Anura Dissnayake, the current leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), is set to step down from his position following the parliamentary elections.
According to these reports, Bimal Rathnayake, a prominent figure within the party, is expected to succeed him as the new leader of the JVP.
Additionally, it is being speculated that Tilvin Silva, the party’s current General Secretary, may step down from his post in the next year or two. Vijitha Herath, another senior member of the party, is anticipated to take over the role of General Secretary in his place.
Furthermore, reports indicate that Nalinda Jayatissa will be appointed as the party’s Propaganda Secretary.
However, it is important to note that these developments have not been officially confirmed by the JVP at this time.
